How to create a Virtual Machine in Hyper-V

This tutorial expect you have follow the other steps in how to create your cluster and configure it. Now the Cluster is configured and ready to host any services. We will configured a virtual machine that will serve as our template for all the other servers that we will deploy in this environment.

  1. Open the Hyper-V Manager interface. Control Panel à Administrative Tools à Hyper-V Manager.
  2. In the right side click Newà Virtual Machine.

  3. Type a name and location for the template, then press Next.

  4. Leave the default memory allocation and select Use Dynamic Memory for this virtual machine. Then press Next.

  5. Select the Virtual Network that you will like to use. The press Next.

  6. Select a location for the Virtual Hard disk.

  7. Right click the VM and select Settings.

     

  8. Type the location of the ISO file to install Windows Server 2012.

  9. Right Click the Virtual Machine and select Start.
